The Lee County Detention Facility in Alabama houses those convicted of misdemeanor crimes and those awaiting trial for being charged with a felony. The jail is a 434-bed facility and is operated by 61 corrections staff, including nurses, physicians, mental health professionals, psychotherapists, and administrative assistants. The facility is partnered with both local Auburn and Tuskegee Universities to assist with work release programs, GED programs, substance abuse assistance, and work-ready initiative for inmates. Jail Visitation Hours / Lee County Inmate Search
Inmates currently being housed at the jail are allowed visitation, which is determined by the area in which the inmate is currently being held. For video visitation, the inmate is located in a remote location and is seen through a video monitor by the visitor. Visitors are allowed a 30-minute block of time with the inmate and will be given a two-minute warning before visitation ends. To schedule a visit and obtain a list of visitation hours, please call the facility at 334-737-7050. Visitation Rules
- Visitors who arrive 10 minutes or more after the start of the scheduled visitation time will not be allowed access to visit.
- Visitors are not allowed to swap out with a second visitor during the 30-minute period.
- Only four people, including children, are permitted per visit.
- All visitors must be signed up at the front desk or else they will not be permitted to enter.
- Visitors are not allowed to bring handbags, food, or drinks.
- All adult visitors must bring a valid photo identification. Children visitors must bring a school ID or Social Security card or birth certificate before being able to visit the inmate.

Inmates at the jail are permitted to possess certain types of personal property while incarcerated. Inmates who have currently been housed for seven days or less are able to receive three pairs of plain white underwear, three pairs plain white socks, three plain white t-shirts, one pair of thermal bottoms, and one pair of plain white tennis shoes. Female inmates, in addition to the above noted, are allowed three plain white bras with no wires. Inmates are also able to receive one Bible or Koran.
