Jail Visitation Hours / Jackson County Inmate Roster

Before booking a visit, it is highly recommend that you first view the Jackson County inmate roster hereto confirm the inmate’s physical presence at the facility. Inmate visits are conducted via video monitors. Except for Fridays, visits are held every day between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Friday visits are held between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Visitors are allowed to purchase additional time with an inmate in 30-minute sessions for $7.50 plus tax. Visits must be scheduled 24 hours before the visitation date and time.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for various duties, including pistol permits, maintaining court records, entering warrants, processing arrest paperwork for the court system, managing employee time records and preparing the sheriff’s feed bill each month. About the County / Jackson County Inmate Roster

The county is located in northeastern Alabama, and it is named after Andrew Jackson, who was general in the U.S. Army and a former president of the United States. The county was founded in 1819. During this time, the federal government had arranged to remove the Cherokee tribe from the area and extinguish their land. The land was later developed mostly for farming purposes.
