Sheriff’s Office

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office consists of staff members who assist with daily operations, including maintaining records and ensuring activities within the office are promoting efficiency. The Sheriff’s office continues to serve the community, and includes one sheriff, a sergeant, and multiple deputies. The office also participates in Project Life Saver, which provides location assistance to those in the community currently suffering from Alzheimer’s or a dementia related disease, as well as individuals with other cognitive related impairments. The office is involved in various community projects, school programs and presentations, and assists with security at school events. The Sheriff’s office also interacts with local businesses and neighborhood groups to continue to support crime prevention.

The office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 am until 6:00 pm CST. Additional information can be found by either calling the office directly at 205-932-3206, or by downloading the sheriff’s office app here, where daily updates are made regarding sex offenders, weather, and other emergency alerts.
