General behavioral rules will apply, as officers and supervisors have the right to suspend or terminate any inmate or visitor who fails to comply with the rules, as well as asking visitors to leave the property.

About the County / Escambia County Jail View

Escambia County is located in the south-central section of the state of Alabama. Its largest city is Atmore, and its county seat is Brewton. It was founded in December of 1868 after the American Civil War during the Reconstruction era. Before this, American Indian tribes became to settle and inhabit the area, many of whom had close and working relationships with traders and settlers but then were forced to give up their lands and start their journey onwards to west of the Mississippi River. According to the 2020 census, there are 36,757 people, 13,089 households and 8.019 families in Escambia County. The racial makeup of Franklin County was mostly White at 59.86%, Black or African American at 29.71%, Native American 4.05% and Asian 0.29%.
