Jail Visitation Rules
At Baldwin County Jail, the following rules apply to video visitation: please log on 15 minutes before your visit session. Visitors who are more than 10 minutes late will forfeit their visit without a refund. Visits require a state identification card or driver’s license. An adult must accompany any child under 18 years of age. Inmates are each allotted two visits per week on different days. Missed visits cannot be made up within a given week and count toward the inmate’s weekly total. Four visitors, including children, may visit an inmate at one time. Visits may go up to 25 minutes. Staff members may end a session if an emergency occurs. Inappropriate clothing will result in the visit not taking place (the Visitation Officer has the final decision on visitor’s attire).
Visitors cannot drive, smoke/vape, drink alcohol, expose themselves or others, or gamble during virtual visits. The Visitation Officer will determine the appropriateness of other visitor actions or behaviors. Participation in any of these activities could result in suspension or termination of the visit without a refund.
The following parties may not visit at the facility: co-defendants, parties actively involved in a domestic violence case, and any person with an active warrant.
Noncompliance with the above rules could result in the cancellation, restriction, and/or suspension of visitation privileges. In addition, if visitors miss two or more scheduled appointments within a 30-day period, it may result in suspension of video privileges.
