The Corrections Division of the Autauga County Sheriff’s Office oversees the Autauga Metro Jail. This facility houses those awaiting trial and those that have been sentenced to serve time in a county facility. Approximately 3400 inmates enter and leave this facility annually. The average population is 160. The facility is staffed by 39 employees and headed by Jail Warden Captain Larry Nixon. A work-release program is available at the jail. Saturday Visitation Schedule
8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. for POD 5
9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for POD 6
10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for POD 7
11:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. for POD 8
12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. for Isolation/Holding

Attorney-Client Visitation Times
Monday through Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
You must be the Attorney of Record or have filed a notice of appearance prior to seeing the requested inmate. 24 hours notice is required and the attorney must contact the clerk’s office for case numbers.
Visitation Rules / Autauga County Inmate Roster
Visitors should sign in 15 minutes before their visit. Visitors must be 16 or older and on the inmate’s visitation list. The list is changed on the first day of the month. A valid picture ID with date of birth is required in order to visit (no exceptions).
Inmates in the general population are permitted a thirty minute visit during their scheduled time. Each inmate is allowed up to four visitors. Families and friends are encouraged to coordinate their visits, as once an inmate has been up for his/her visit, they are not allowed another visit. Visitors may schedule video visitation here.

New inmates, who have been at the facility fewer than seven days, are allowed the following personal items: three white t-shirts, three white socks, three pairs of white underwear, and three wire-free sports bras (female inmates only). Each of these items must be labeled with the inmate’s name in permanent ink.
For inmates that have been at the facility longer than seven days, they must purchase personal items from the commissary. An indigent package is available for those inmates who are deemed indigent. Commissary money is accepted at the front desk Monday through Friday (8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5p.m.) or may be mailed to 136 N. The Autauga County Sheriff’s Office is the primary law enforcement agency for the towns of Autaugaville and Billinglsey. They also provide law enforcement for Pine Level, Marbury, Booth, White City, Jones, Evergreen, Kingston, Pentecost, Mulberry and Independence.
